 In the past dragons always partnered with wingless Taion it was the way of things.

     The silver heartcord of the dragon would bond with the goldencord heartcord of the wingless Taion and they would then share the rest of their lives together.

     King Erron changed that forever partnering with Anthorian’s stealing dragon eggs and selling wingless males as slaves and food.

     Until both of the specie were all but extinct the two once proud raises were but a few hundred now.  Of the Taion’s only the oldest could read the books or new how to plant and harvest.  They no longer new the cities they came from they were all but gone from the history of Doran.

TAION:

The Taion’s were a race of proud
 winged people that lived on Doran.  A civilization once great and prosperous numbering in the millions, was now almost gone.  Their cities numerous with great carvings of dragons and birds even great Queens, they were always ruled by Queens.  They built their cities around each of the tunnels and learned ride the tunnels of Doran to the outer moons, one a desert planet and the other a water world.  They had found the first dragons on the desert moon they had called Decana.  The water moon they called Toolaba, was abundant in rich foods.

Along with the Taion’s destruction was the destruction of the dragons.  The Taion’s had a unique heartbond it was a golden cord that came out of their heart and wrapped around their hearts chosen a soul mate.  The dragons also had a heart cords only silver.  It was not uncommon for a wingless Taion to bond with a dragon.

The Anthorian’s an ape like race had come to power over the years and had hunted them for food.  Their feathers used for decoration. They bought and sold them as slaves.  The once great dragons were fed Sara Root, a poison to them; it would rob them of their minds while rotting their bodies slowly.  They were all but existent as well.
